线粒体和肿瘤 (mitochondria and cancer)
线粒体代谢重编程是肿瘤细胞的基本特征之一。最近的工作表明:肿瘤中一群具有高干细胞特性的肿瘤细胞所含线粒体显著区别于一般正常体细胞的线粒体,并且这类肿瘤细胞非常依赖其线粒体功能而存活。实验室现下的主要工作是研究神经胶质瘤干细胞对线粒体功能依赖的分子机制和神经胶质瘤线粒体上可成药靶点。
Mitochondria reprogram is the hallmark for cancer. Recently,
merging evidences show cancer stem cells (CSCs) have unique mitochondria
metabolism and are highly dependent on mitochondria function for survival.
Currently, the main focus of Shi Lab is exploring the molecular mechanism
underlying the high dependence of mitochondrial function by glioma stem cells
(GSCs) and identifying druggable mitochondrial target in these deadly diseases.
